The Outgoing Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Dr. Mark Assibey-Yeboah has thanked his constituents for the opportunity given him to serve them for eight years in Parliament.
Dr. Assibey officially ended his tenure today Tuesday, January 5, 2020, in Parliament.
He shortly took to Facebook to write “end of Parliamentary Work. Thank you NJS for the opportunity”.
Dr. Assibey Yeboah who was the Chairman of the Finance and Agriculture Committees in Parliament was rated high as a solid hardworking Legislator by both members on the side of minority and Majority in Parliament as well as experts in governance.
He also distinguished himself as a member of the government’s economic management team.
Dr. Assibey Yeboah unseated Hon. Beatrice Bernice Boateng in 2012 but was also defeated in 2020 by Micheal Okyere Baafi in his second attempt to unseat him during the NPP Primaries.
Okyere Baafi won the Parliamentary elections held on December 7, 2020, to succeed Dr. Assibey Yeboah.
