Mr. Emmanuel Olla Williams, chief executive officer of Dreamland Sports Plus has commended the police and military during the lockdown period.
He expressed that some citizens just have hard ears and they were the ones who might have problems with them because the president of Ghana ordered the lockdown to protect Ghanaians and the nation from the pandemic, coronavirus which has plagued the whole world.
He commended His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo for acting fast to order the lockdown and showing concern with his periodic messages to the nation.
He congratulated the president for ordering free water supply and offering Ghanaians the opportunity to pay 50% for electricity.
According to Williams who is also the youth coordinator of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Ghanaians must appreciate what the father of the nation is doing and not read politics, because lives are important than anything in the world.
He called on the people to exercise patience during the lockdown period and stay at home not to encounter any problem, especially coming into contact with COVID-19.
He revealed that some companies who have appreciated the job of the security forces are planning to offer them some incentives to encourage them.
Recently, he led Unilever and Equator Foods to support the Ministry of Sanitation & Water Resources, Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) and the media with Vim detergents and Parle biscuits respectively.
He also welcomed the decision of the Ministry of Youth & Sports to consider donating to the various national teams.
“There are so many youths who do sports for a living, and I fully support the initiative of the GOC president to meet the sports minister on helping the sportsmen and women of Ghana in this crucial moment,” he said.
