Dr. Gideon Boako, Economic Advisor and Spokesperson for the Vice President, has promised Ghanaians that the nationwide power outages will be resolved shortly.
By the end of this month, he was quite confident that the population’s electrical issues would be resolved.
“The information I have and from where I sit, I know the power cuts will end by the end of this month,” he said on Peace FM’s morning show “Kokrokoo”.
However, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president’s spokesperson, bemoaned the erratic electricity delivery to communities all throughout the country.
Dr. Boako expressed alarm about the electrical providers’, especially the electrical Company of Ghana (ECG), reluctance to give consumers a schedule to help them with daily tasks. The way the ECG is handling Ghanaians, he found to be extremely unsettling.
He lamented the state of Ghanaians due to the erratic supply of electricity and said that there should be more information available to the public to prevent the destruction of their belongings and financial waste.
“Ghanaians need concise, explicit communication,” he insisted, adding “we should be able to tell people that this is the problem and by this time, by this date, the problem will be solved”.
