Dutch international of Ghanaian descent Jeremie Frimpong is on the verge of joining Premier League giants Liverpool.
The former Celtic star is joining the Reds as a replacement for England international Alexander Arnold, who is set for Liverpool departure.
Arnold recently announced he will depart the Premier League giants at the end of the campaign after declining contract extension.
According to reports, Liverpool has reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the acquisition of Frimpong for a transfer fee around €40 million.
Frimpong has been consistent in last two seasons for the Bundesliga outfit. He was instrumental when Leverkusen secured the Bundesliga title last season.
This season, Frimpong has scored five goals and provided 12 assists in 48 appearances across competitions for Leverkusen.
