Head coach of Ebusua Dwarfs Ernest Thompson has said that referees have not fared so badly in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The gaffer sharing his thought on the performance of referees after matchday 9 of the domestic top-flight league says referees have not gone badly despite complaints from some clubs.
It could be recalled Ernest Thompson launched a scathing attack on referee Joshua Samadji claiming he awarded a ‘dubious penalty’ against his side in their 2-0 defeat at Techiman Eleven Wonders in the league and was subsequently referred to the Ghana Football Association.
But in an interview with Hello FM, the trainer observed referees have so far done well.
“This is not the first time we have picked a win away in the league. We beat Legon Cities too away and drew with the Olympics too. So I think the referees have done well so far. I will give them about 65%”
“I think they are doing well. Let’s give them the necessary support so that they believe and trust themselves to officiate well in the remaining matches,” he said.
