E/R: 12 Constituency Youth Organisers Deny Endorsing Regional Boss’ Press Statement; Maintain Earlier Stand

It seems the Eastern Regional Youth Organiser of the main opposition NDC Richard Etornam Nyarko is gradually losing his stand as some Constituency Youth Organisers have disassociate themselves from a statement he had issued.

Commander Bilbo as affectionately called issued a press statement on Thursday to counter earlier Reportage where 18 Constituency Youth Organisers cautioned his leadership style.

The 18 aggrieved Constituency Youth Organisers also had earlier called on the Regional Boss to suspend the inauguration of the Regional Elections Working Committee but was ignored and launched at Akyem Tafo.

In a disclaimer statement issued by 12 Constituency Youth Organisers who were part of those who had earlier raised red flags about the Regional Youth Organiser’s leadership style, it described th action of Comrade Etornam Nyarko as unfortunate and completely distance themselves from the statement.

Even though, the disclaimer hint the Regional Youth Organiser consulted them for their signitaries, they insisted he rather adhere to their earlier call to change his leadership style instead of his intention to of issuing such a statement.

RE: WE HAVE CONFIDENCE IN COMMANDER RICHARD ETORNAM NYARKO, AKA BLIBO

We the undersigned constituency Youth organizers, Deputies and other Youth Representatives wish to express our utter disappointment and displeasure at the Eastern Regional Youth Organizer, Following a supposed press release in which he mentioned our names as having being a part of without our consent.

We wish to distance ourselves completely from the said release and to state unequivocally that we have absolutely nothing to do with same. We further entreat members of the public especially within the NDC fraternity, to treat same with the contempt it deserves. Indeed, Mr Richard Nyarko did reach out to some of us lobbying to attach our names to a purported press release in a bid to counter an earlier release by aggrieved 18 Main Constituency Youth Organizers out of the 33 in the Eastern Region, wherein they raised some pertinent concerns but failed to secure our approval.

Rather than attend to those concerns raised, Mr Nyarko chose instead, to drag our names into disrepute by crafting this ill-thought press release to shower praises on himself.

We would hope that Mr Richard Nyarko would cease from such actions in future in order to not desecrate the integrity attached to our respective names, which we have built over the period by dint of hardwork.
