Health Officials are worried over increasing Covid-19 deaths in Koforidua the Eastern Regional Capital.
12 out of the total 18 persons who have died of Coronavirus in Eastern Region, were recorded in New Juaben South Municipality.
The cause of the increasing deaths in the Regional capital has been allegedly attributed to late report to hospital by the asymptomatic persons.
Akuapem North has also recorded two(2). Lower Manya Krobo, Denkyembuor, New Juaben North, and Kwahu South have recorded one case of death each.
Although 18 deaths (3 being health workers) recorded in the Eastern Region, only 6 have been published on the official website Ghana Health Service -Headquarters
Meanwhile, there is a spike in the regional case count moving it from 1416 to 1,632 as of July 30, 2020.
Out of the number, a total of 1,406 have recovered. They are made up or 121 discharges base on two negative test results and 1,285 Discharges based on days spent and not showing symptoms.
