E/R: 18 NDC Constituency Youth Organisers Takes On Regional Boss; Charges Him To Ammend His Unpopular Leadership Style

Eighteen (18) Regional Youth Organisers of the National Democratic Congress have declared their intention to abstain from all activities spearheaded by the Regional Youth organiser, Richard Etornam Nyarko.

In a press release signed by all the 18 aggrieved Constituency youth Organises, they have also called for postponement of the launch of the Eastern Regional Youth Working Committee slated for Friday, 13th October, 2023 at Akyem Tafo.

The statement indicated that the decision by the aggrieved youth organisers is due to the autocratic style leadership of the regional youth organiser which they think can affect the party’s chances in the 2024 general elections if not properly dealt with.

Urgent Call for Inclusive Leadership in the Eastern Regional Youth Wing

The undersigned NDC constituency youth organizers in the Eastern Region,find it
imperative to voice out our grave concerns regarding the disturbing current trajectoryof leadership by the Eastern Regional Youth Organizer, Mr. Richard Etornam Nyarko.

Our commitment to unity, progress, and the core principles of our great party prompts us to highlight the following concerns:
Exclusionary Leadership Tactics: Mr Nyarko’s apparent inclination towards
unilateral decision-making undermines the essence of collective leadership and
discourages teamwork. The conspicuous absence of Constituency youth organizers
rom key youth wing activities and the recent announcement of the inauguration of a regional youth working committee solely through a social media flyer is testament to this concerning trend. We consider it a gross disregard and a loud disrespect not to engage constituency youth organizers but to only invite us through a purported social media flyer a few hours before the event.

Disregard for Established Channels: The TEIN coordinators, discretely appointed
the influence of Mr. Richard Etornam Nyarko, have consistently bypassed the
under Constituency youth organizers. This neglect is especially evident when these
apparatus coordinators hold party activities within our respective constituencies without due collaboration or notice to Youth leadership. This uncomradely posture of Mr Richard Etornam Nyarko and his appointees works against the party’s call for all-inclusive engagement, which is needed for a landslide victory in 2024.

Disregard for the National Youth Leadership: Mr. Richard Etoram Nyarko’s
recent absence from the inauguration of the national youth working committee,
despite a formal invitation from our esteemed National Youth Organizer, Mr. George Opare Addo (Pablo), signifies a concerning detachment from the broader party vision. Further disparaging remarks made by Richard Etornam Nyarko on his social media handles regarding the National Youth Wing and the National Youth Working Committee are an even bolder demonstration of his colossal disregard for the National Youth leadership. While we believe Pablo will overlook this gross disrespect displayed over a significant period of time, we want to remind Mr. Etornam Nyarko to
reflect on his unpopular leadership style and make amends while he still has the
opportunity.

In light of these pressing issues, we, the undersigned constituency Youth Wing
eaders in the Eastern Region, strongly urge Mr Richard Etornam Nyarko to address these anomalies, reflecting on his leadership approach immediately. We suggest a postponement of the scheduled inauguration activity, providing ample time for introspection and alignment with the party’s ethos

We wish to unequivocally state that unless these concerns are promptly and
adequately addressed, we shall abstain from participating in the aforementioned
program and any subsequent activities led by Mr. Richard Nyarko.

Our collective stand emanates from a place of deep respect for our party’s values and an unwavering commitment to its growth and unity. It is our earnest hope that this release will serve as a clarion call, urging all concerned to steer our party in the direction of inclusivity, unity, and strength as we work towards victory in December 2024 and beyond.

We anticipate an immediate positive response in the best interest of the Eastern Regional Youth Wing and our beloved party in general.
