A 28-year-old form two students of the Asoutwen Roman Catholic Junior School (JHS) in the Upper West Akyem District of the Eastern Region, Master Charles William who was involved in a road traffic motor accident for the past three years has called for financial support to help solve his medical treatment.
The victim who is a resident of Asoutwen Alafia Number- One suffered a fractured leg in an accident three years ago but could not get money for medical care at the hospital, therefore, decided to use herbal medicine.
Sadly, the seriously injured Master Charles William is an orphan.
Narrating the heart-wrenching situation to the media on Sunday, March 28, 2021, a female family member of the victim, Madam Lucy Adusei made a passionate appeal to philanthropists, Non-Governmental Organizations, traditional authorities, and religious organizations to come to the air Charles William.
“We are pleading with someone who can take more responsibility for Master Charles William because he is helpless,” Madam stated.
According to Madam Adusei, the victim of a road traffic motor accident three years ago and he was rushed to the Nsawam Government Hospital but later was referred to the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua.
She lamented that although the victim was discharged from Eastern Regional Hospital; his condition was still not stable, explaining that he still needs financial support to medically continue to treat himself.
“The residents of the Asoutwen Alafia Number One community did good things to donate some money to support the medical treatment of the victim because the victim’s parents were all dead. But because of his current condition, he needs more support to help bring him,” Madam Adusei stressed.
She added the when the victim was discharged and brought to the community he continued to be in POP.
According to her, the victim as at this moment cannot do anything by himself without getting support from anybody, saying that “so thought otherwise that after he even treated with his broken leg, he may need some money to feed himself since his parents were all passed away.”
“I want to repeat that the victim has been bedridden for the past three years now so we need financial support to help to continue to take medical treatment for him as well as bring him,” she added.
She disclosed that the residents of Asoutwen Alafia Number One community with the support of faith-based religious organizations, politicians, philanthropists were able to raise an amount of GH¢8000.00 so far to pay part of the medical treatment bill for the victim.
He noted that the victim still needs financial help to continue to treat the wounds.”
