Three (4) passengers died in a gory accident between Osino and Ankaase stretch of the Accra to Kumasi Highway.
The accident which happened around 5:50pm Tuesday, March 22, 2022, involved a Nissan Urvan with registration number GT 3322-17 and a 4×4 Chevrolet also with registration number GE 3325-21.
The Nissan vehicle which was speeding burst a rear tyre hence the driver lost control of the steering wheel and collided head-on with the Chevrolet which was also speeding from the opposite direction.
Two persons aboard the vehicle died on the spot while one also died on arrival at Kibi Government hospital.
Eleven other passengers who sustained various degrees of injuries were rushed to and admitted to the Enyiresi Government hospital for treatment.
Both drivers from the two vehicles were later referred to the Koforidua Regional Hospital.
The accident occurred three hours after fourteen (14) persons have burnt to death in an accident on the Takoradi- Cape Coast highway.
According to reports, the incident happened at Asemasa Number 1 in the Western Region on Tuesday around 2:00pm.
The accident involved a tipper truck and a Ford bus with registration number GW 5628-21, which had onboard, some Ghanaians and Chinese nationals traveling from Tarkwa.
