Four (4) persons are seriously injured in a vehicular crash on Akyem Osiem road in Abuakwa North Municipality in the Eastern region
The injured persons were on admission at Hawa Memorial Hospital in Akyem Osiem.
The crash occurred between a tipper truck and a Toyota Corolla with registration number CR 621-18 at about 9:00pm last night.
Both the Tipper Truck and Toyota Corolla private car were from Koforidua direction towards Akyem Osiem.
On reaching the Y -junction where the road from Akyem Old Tafo and Koforidua joins the Osiem road, the Toyota corolla attempted to overtake the tipper truck which in the process crashed the rear tyre of the truck.
The impact caused the driver of the Toyota Corolla to lose control of the steering wheel, veered off the road as the car somersaulted and crashed into a ditch.
The four persons including the driver sustained serious injuries. They were removed from the car and rushed to Hawa Memorial Hospital.
