Forty-eight (48) orderlies of the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua have undergone a two-day training in infection prevention and control practices.
The training was organized by the Occupational Health and Safety/Infection Prevention and Control Unit with sponsorship from the Management of the Hospital.
The training equipped the hospital orderlies with skills in performing hand hygiene, wearing and removal of personal protective equipment (PPE), environment cleaning, and health care waste management.
The orderlies expressed their sincere gratitude to Management and the organizers of the training. They requested that such training should be organized frequently to equip them.
