Seven passengers have reportedly died in a tragic accident at Nkawada No. 2 near Nkawkaw on Accra to Kumasi highway im Eastern Region.
The crash involved collision between a Sprinter bus and a cargo truck.
The Sprinter bus had picked up passengers from Somanya in the Eastern Region enrout to Sefwi.
Six passengers died at the scene, while one succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital.
The driver and mate of the cargo truck escaped unhurt.
Eyewitnesses claim the cargo truck driver may have fallen asleep behind the wheels.
Police and fire service personnel were at the scene to help rescue the victims and clear the road.
