Close to hundred residents of Asuoyaa-Oponase and Koliko Communities in Akuapem North Municipality of the Eastern Region has been displaced by a violent rainstorm that hit the area.
The incident occurred Saturday, April 11, 2020.
Roof of about 18 houses were affected.
The affected persons include 40 children and 23 Women are currently perching with friends and families.
A visit by Mybrytfmonline.com saw carpenters reroofing some of the affected buildings whereas the majorities are struggling to get money buy roofing sheets and cement to rehabilitate their buildings.
Meanwhile, some officials of the National Disaster Management Organization, NADMO, have visited the communities for assessment.
