All thirty-three (33) Municipal, and District Chief Executive nominees by President John Dramani Mahama for Eastern Region have been confirmed in one- touch elections held within ten(10) working days by the Assemblies across the region.
The confirmation exercises were facilitated by the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey in collaboration with the Eastern Regional Executives of NDC led by Dr. Mark Oliver Kevor, and Supported by the Regional representative of Council of State, Evelyn Korang.
The confirmation which started May 5 ended Friday May 16,2025.
The confirmed nominees are Effah Osei Bonsu David, Kwahu South, Samuel Asamoah, Kwahu East, Tamimu Halidu, Kwahu West, Rebecca Chissah ,Upper West Akim, Ernest Owusu Ntim,Atiwa East,Amo John Anom, Atiwa West, Emmanuel Kofi Nti ,Kwaebibirem,
Taaju Rahim, Birim South, Solomon Kusi Brako,Birim Central ,Samuel Owusu Brako, Achiase, Ransford Owusu Boakye
,New Juaben South, Eric William Ayettey,
,Okere, Francis Addo Akumatey,Yilo Krobo, and Godwin Bobobee, Asuogyaman.

Addressing the media on Friday at Afram Plains South after confirmation of the last nominee, the Eastern Regional Minister Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey acknowledged the pivotal role played by the Regional Executives of the NDC party in achieving the remarkable feat.
She admonished the Municipal and District Chief Executives to find innovative means to boost revenue generation and collection.
Eastern Regional Minister Dr. Mark Oliver said the party will monitor and ensure that the MMDCEs perform to the expectations of the President and Party .
