Assembly member for Senchi Electoral Area Hon.Osagyefo Kwaku Aboagye has written to the Minister of Roads and Highways Kwasi Amoako Atta over worsening conditions of deplorable roads in Asuogyaman district in Eastern region.
He mentioned Akosombo to Gyakiti road, Apeguso, Anyansu-Mpakadan road, Akwamu-Asafo to Akwamufie township road, and the Asikuma to Anum-Boso road as major roads linking various communities and hospitality facilities in the district however have deteriorated.
The epistle noted that, the poor condition of the roads has not only made transportation challenging but also hinders economic development in the district. Businesses are unable to transport goods and services efficiently due to the poor state of the roads.

Dear Minister of Roads and Highways,
I am writing to bring to your attention the poor state of roads in the Asuogyaman District. As a resident of the district, I have observed the negative impact that the poor road conditions have on the lives of the people in the area.
I am particularly concerned about the state of the Akosombo to Gyakiti road, Apeguso, Anyansu-Mpakadan road, Akwamu-Asafo to Akwamufie township road, and the Asikuma to Anum-Boso road.
These roads are in dire need of repair and maintenance. They are filled with potholes, cracks, and other defects that make them unsafe and difficult to navigate. The poor condition of the roads has not only made transportation challenging but also hinders economic development in the district. Businesses are unable to transport goods and services efficiently due to the poor state of the roads.
Asuogyaman has benefited from various development projects since 1992, and we are grateful for the progress that has been made. However, I urge you to prioritize the repair and maintenance of these roads to ensure that our district continues to grow.
The people of Asuogyaman deserve safe and reliable roads that will enable them to access essential services, schools, and hospitals.
I kindly request that you take immediate action to address this issue. We need your support to improve the quality of life for the people of Asuogyaman. I look forward to your prompt response and action on this matter.
