A woman in her late 80’s Akua Darkwaa is confirmed dead after attack by a swarm of bees at Effiduase in the new Juaben north municipality of the Eastern region on Saturday.
Another young lady in her early 20’s, Ataa Panyin is also currently at the St Joseph Hospital seeking medical treatment after sustaining injuries.
The incident, according to an eyewitness occured on Saturday afternoon as the bees attacked residents of Adumasa electoral area, inflicting wounds on them.
Meanwhile, information gathered by mybryfmonline revealed the bees are hidden on an avocado tree behind the house of the deceased.
At the time if filing the story in Sunday morning , the avocado tree housing the bees has been cut down and set on fire to avert any other future incident.
