Report reaching mybrytfmonline.com indicates that a canoe rider has drowned in river Afram.
The victim reportedly drowned Thursday at the Amedzope community portion of the river in Afram Plains South District but all efforts to retrieve him have proven futile.
An eyewitness Vincent Agbenyo told this news portal that ” he went on the river with four others to feed fish in their cages but suddenly drowned. The others made their possible best to rescue him but they failed and since then he has not been found”
Efforts are however underway to retrieve the victim from beneath the river.
