The incident marks a recurring nightmare for Alhaji Opass, who laments the lack of adequate response despite numerous complaints lodged in the past.
Suspicions linger over potential connections between the herdsmen responsible for the devastation and certain authorities within the Municipality.
Alhaji Opass, who has invested substantially in his farm, faces significant losses following the wanton destruction of his crops, with the latest incident occurring on March 23, 2024.
Regrettably, this is not an isolated occurrence, as the constituency Chairman who is also a teacher notes the routine nature of farm destruction by cattle within the Municipality.
The identity of behind the cattle isners remains elusive, prompting mounting concerns among farmers in the area.
Alhaji Opass implores leaders not to politicize the security situation prevailing in Abuakwa North.
He stressed the importance of safeguarding the lives and property of residents, emphasizing that such matters transcend political agendas.
The Abu Akwa North Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) headed by Alhaji Umar Bodinga has in the past taken radical actions against the cattle by chasing them out with armed police personnel but the cattle returned .
