Community miners at Akyem Abomosu in the Atiwa West District of the Eastern region have accused alleged Operatives of National Security of daylight robbery against them.
The Community miners alleged that the armed group led by Kwadwo Bamba a known member of the vigilante group, Delta Force in Kumasi but now a national security Operative have been invading their sites with AK47, pistols and ammunition under the guise of conducting operation.
The miners say, the national security team made up of 25 armed men ransacked the sites and take away gold and motorbikes and abscond with the same.
Addressing the media at Akyem Abomosu, the Community miners said the National Security Operatives led by Kwadwo Bamba have invaded the area three consecutive times with highly sophisticated weapons to rob them however they are fed up hence prepared to clash them anytime they attempt to enter the Community.
The Community miners have therefore called on the Inspector General of Police, IGP, George Akufo Dampare to intervene to avert bloodshed.
