The death of a 15-year-old girl on Monday, April 20, 2020 at Tsremati Yoyim a farming community near Nkrukan near Koforidua in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region has stoked rising anger among the residents.
The poor girl, Mavis Tetteh, died in the middle of a journey while being carried at the back through a deplorable route to the hospital to seek healthcare after complaining of severe stomach pains.
The late Mavis Tetteh has since been buried at her village near Nkrukan.
Tei Evans, resident told Bryt FM News that, the girl died due to lack of road network to the community to facilitate emergency transportation.
He said politicians continue to deceive the community on the construction of a road to the farming communities.
“This year, it will be war, no politician would be allowed to campaign in the community if they fail to construct a road to the area. Are we not Ghanaians? Why do you treat us like this”. Tei fumed.
