Independent parliamentary candidate Evans Appiah has described the slow pace of development in the New Juaben south municipality as that of the movement of a snail.
In an interview with Kwame Ocansey of Bryt FM, Mr. Evans Appiah was worried the people of Koforidua have been neglected over the past years by the government and the incumbent member of Parliament, Okyere Baafi.
He complained most of the communities within the municipality have been left to their fate in terms of distribution of the national cake as far as development is concerned.
Speakung on his vision for the people, the independent parliamentary candidate indicated that he has a lot of plans for the people and therefore pledged to intervene in their plight when elected as the lawmaker.
“The slow pace of development has affected the people negatively as nothing much is done to improve their livelihoods and also empower the youth. I have a lot of plans to redeem the people of New Juaben south and I therefore implore voters to vote for me to climb the ladder to Parliament House and I promise they won’t regret supporting me” he told the reporter.
He also complained about neglect of the Zongo communities in the municipality and as a ‘zongo’ boy, assured them of equal distribution of projects and opportunities when made the lawmaker in 2024.
