The Effiduase District Police Command in the New Juaben North municipality is holding an alleged armed robber following his arrest on Saturday, 28th May 2022.
The suspect, Darlington was arrested after a fight with a colleague at Nsukwao, a suburb of Koforidua where he resides.
His matter became controversial when the police discovered a gunshot wound on his right arm and other bruises on his hand.
Information gathered by the reporter reveals that the suspect was shot in Kumasi in the Ashanti region in an alleged robbery incident.
He was said to have returned back to Nsukwao a few days ago with an excuse of engaging in a motor accident to cover up the gunshot wound and bruises.
He is expected to be transferred back to Kumasi to assist the police in its investigations.
Meanwhile, the suspect is known as an armed robber and thief having faced two sentences already for different criminal offences.
