The Forestry Commission has demolished excavator and other equipment found on some portions of the Atewa forest.
The FC went to the scene with the operation halt II team after getting notifications that people were engaging in illegal mining in the Atewa forest.
Despite not meeting perpetrators at the site, the team saw that portion of the forest has been tampered with and therefore pledged to fight activities of illegal miners.
