Four (4) persons have been arrested by a mob at Teacher Mante community in the Eastern region for allegedly abducting two children and turning them into dead snakes.
The incident occurred Tuesday, September 13, 2022, around 7:30 pm.
According to the Assembly member for the Domeabra Electoral area, Samuel Dzafeda told Bryt FM that, some residents in Govinakrom raised rumour alarm that the suspects in a private car abducted some children and turned them into snakes.
They notified the Teacher Mante community as they also pursued the suspects.
The youth in Teacher Mante mobilized and mounted blockage on the road and arrested the suspects.
They also impounded their car.
A search in the car allegedly found some dead snakes in the car.
They handed over the suspects to Teacher Mante Police who also transferred them to Suhum due to the volatile environment.
The suspects are being interrogated to establish the veracity of the claims against them.
