The Eastern Region has a total of four hundred and five (405) election flashpoints, according to the National Operations Directorate of the Ghana Police Service.
The number is out of 4,098 nationwide flashpoints identified by the Ghana Police Service and the same submitted to the National Election Taskforce to guide in the deployment of Security Personnel for the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.
Five top Constituencies with high flashpoints in the Eastern Region are Mpraeso (58), Upper West Akim (38), Akim Oda (27), and Nsawam Adoagyiri (27).
However, Akwatia, Kade, Ofoase Ayirebi, and Abirem have no flashpoints.
Ashanti Region has 635 flashpoints making the region violent prone.
