Jeffrey Ewusi William, Chairman of Upper West Akim District Football Association has appealed to cooperative bodies, the Sports Ministry and the National Sports Authority to support district football clubs and other sporting activities across the country.
He has, also, appealed to the Sports Ministry and National Sports Authority to support Juvenile football because it is the backbone of our Black Stars and the various national teams will come from various districts to represent the country in the international world.
Mr Ewusi William disclosed this at the second round of the 2021/22 Upper West Akim District Juvenile and 3rd Division League second round that has kick-off.
He emphasised developing football and other sporting activities would go a long way to unearth the talents of the young ones instead of forcing every child to be academic brilliant.
He pledged his outfit will put in measures and fight for sponsorship deals to help develop sports facilities and talents in the district at all times.
