“It is time for party supporters at the grassroot of the NPP to also benefit from their sweat of bringing the party into power” Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Flagbearer hopeful has indicated.
According to the former lawmaker, the grassroot of the party is peeved due to neglect over the years and that affected the party’s votes turnout in the 2020 general elections.
In an interaction with party Executives and members in the Lower Manya Krobo constituency at Kpong in Thursday afternoon, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto assured them with many innovations and policies that ensure that grassroot members of the party are also well taken care of.
He revealed plans of ensuring the NPP establish companies across the regions and constituencies to employ most of the people and help reduce the unemployment situation as well.
“When the party has companies, we can lobby for contracts and that would earn the NPP income and also help employ most of our members who have suffered enough for the party” he disclosed.
He added “I am here to plead with you to fully support my vision so that we can all help bring the change we deserve. The grassroot of the is very important and I know you deserve better than this. Give me the chance to lead you and I promise you see a great transformation in the economy that will adversely affect your lives positively.
Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto will continue his 2-day tour of the region to New Juaben South, Oda and Asene Manso Akroso constituencies on Friday.
