Member of Parliament for Afram Plains north, Betty Krosbi Mensah has echoed her intention to contest the seat for third consecutive terms.

Declaration of Intention to Contest for 3rd Term
Good Morning wonderful and lovely people of Afram Plains North Constituency.
I have received good news from the Soldiers of Betty group who have successfully paid and picked a nomination form for me to contest for the 3rd time as Member of Parliament for the good people of Afram Plains North.
I must commend and thank them for such a great step which has never been heard of in the history of our Constituency. The group as I know, consist of many branch executives and non-branch executives across our Constituency who believe that with the UNITY OF PURPOSE and STRONG WILL, we can together change the Afram Plains North story into a better one.
I have therefore decided to accept to contest and represent the interest of the good people of Afram Plains North for the 3rd time if given the nod by my people.
Indeed there are many challenges confronting my people ranging from Inadequate School Infrastructure and Teachers, Inadequate Health Facilities and Workers, Rural Electrification challenges, Inadequate Women Empowerment, Child Labour, Bad Road networks, High Youth Unemployment, etc.
As a Member of Parliament whose party is not in government and coupled with the obvious difficulties this current central government itself is faced with, it has become really difficult to fully address many of these challenges as I would have wished to if my party the NDC was in power.
However, I believe that the good people of Afram Plains North themselves bear witness to the kind of new selfless leadership I have provided since I became their servant in 2017.
I have put in my all in all to serve all manner of people irrespective of their tribe, colour, height, gender and social status to help change the story of Afram Plains into a good one. Many of my interventions which are already public knowledge just earned me the Best Performing Female MP in Ghana, in 2022.
Definitely, we aren’t done yet, in fact, we haven’t done even 50% of what I wish to achieve with you but we are gradually turning our image into a good one and this positions us to be able to attract and lobby for more interventions to help address the challenges enumerated above.
I believe that we have come very far as a Team of Branch Executives, Constituency Executives and Constituents to sacrifice all our toils and go back to restart from scratch which definitely will delay our forward match. A vote for Betty is a vote for continuity of purpose while any other option is restarting our collective effort.
I truly appreciate all the opportunities you have given me to serve you and I look forward to you giving me another opportunity for us to continue our agenda to harness the potential of Afram Plains for Social and Economic Development.
