Deputy Youth organizer for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Eastern region have denied reports of rejecting the appointment as Regional Youth Employment Agrncy (YEA) Regional Director.
Comrade Fohad Agbenyadzi has refuted the circulating reports, indicating there is no aorta of truth and that lacks basis to hold.
There have been several reports making rounds within the region that the the deputy youth organizer has rejected the offer after the Regional Youth organizer, Richard Etornam Nyarko refused to offer himself for the position as done in almost all the other regions, except that of the Volta region.
Response from Fohad Agbenyadzi
In an interview with Bryt fm anchor Kwabena Nyarko Abronoma, deputy regional youth organizer, Fohad Agbenyadzi revealed that, he had earlier informed both the Regional party chairman and his deputy of his (Ahmed) interest in the appointment should the Regional organizer reject the offer.
“I told our Regional chairman and the deputy that I was interested to take up that appointment if my boss was not interested. The chairman asked me to call him (Richard Etornam) and I did, but he told me he will get back and that he was busy at the time. Only to find out the next day that he (Richard Etornam) has presented Foli Atiga for the position” Fohad Agbenyadzi narrated.
He called on executives of the party as well as the minister for Youth and Development, George Opare Addo to ensure the right thing is done accordingly.
In a new development, Comrade Ahmed Agbenyadzi has cautioned those who have already secured appointments to stop ignoring those who have played crucial role in their political career.
In a Facebook post, he said “To those who have secured appointments and are now ignoring the people you started with: remember, political power is transient.
Many of you were elected and appointed with the hard work and support of those very individuals.
Today’s allies can become tomorrow’s essential supporters. Don’t underestimate the value of those who stood by you in tough times; you may need them again when the tides change.
Stay grounded and appreciate the journey you’ve shared with the people who helped you get here.
Still, GoldenBoy!!!”
