Investigators and accuse persons at Akyem Oda District and Divisional police commands in Eastern Region have been stranded for three months now due to absent of a judge at the District Court in Oda.
Mybrytfmonline.com has gathered that the presiding judge was transferred about three months ago but has not been replaced.
This has led to suspension of prosecution of cases.
Police investigators at Akyem Oda District and Divisional commands have since not been able to prosecute accused persons at the court.
They are compelled under the circumstance to send fresh cases that are supposed to be filed at the lower court to Asamankese.
This has created inconvenience and extra transportation cost on investigators who hire taxis to transport accuses persons due to inadequate police vehicles .
Old cases before the Oda District Court have been put on indefinite adjournment.
Mybrytfmonline.com has meanwhile gathered that a judge has been posted to the court but not clear when he/she will assume duty.
