Former President and Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, made a significant call to Christians during his Easter Sunday visit to the Assemblies of God church in Atibie Kwahu.
In his address to the congregation, he urged Christians and people of faith in general to actively participate in politics and governance, emphasizing the importance of influencing political processes with the values of Christ.
During the service, President Mahama highlighted the need for generosity towards the vulnerable in society, aligning with the spirit of Easter and Christ’s teachings on compassion and empathy.
Pastor Peter Gyau, the Resident Pastor of the Assemblies of God Church in Atibie, echoed Mahama’s sentiments by calling for the enactment of the anti-LGBTQ bill.
Additionally, recognition was given to Dr. Beatrice Wiafe Addai, CEO of Peace and Love Hospital, for her commendable contributions to the growth and development of the Assemblies of God Church.
