The newly installed Krontihemaa for Pakro, a community near Nsawam in the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipality of the Eastern Region who is also the Mother of the Royal Seed Orphanage Home in Awutu Kwao Bonnie, Nana Awo Abena Oparebea I has noted that, she is poised to fight against rampant teenage pregnancies in the area.
According to the traditional ruler, it is about time parents and community leaders come together to teach young girls the causes and consequences of being a victim of teenage pregnancy.
She noted that, she believes such initiative will go a long way to eradicate or drastically reduce teenage pregnancy in the area.
Nana Awo Abena Oparebea I made this known to Bryt Fm News Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah during her installation as Kontihemaa for Pakro Community on Saturday.
However, Krontihemaa for Akwamu and Adoagyiri, Nana Oforiwaa Amamfo who spoked on behalf of the Tufuhene for Okuapeman Traditional Council also charged the newly installed Kontihemaa to respect her elders and also help in promoting peace, unity and development in the area.
She pledged their support to the Krontihemaa to ensure she success in her endeavors.
