An unidentified man has been found dead in a gutter at Madaam a suburb in Lower Manya Krobo Municipality in the Eastern region few minutes after leaving home Sunday morning.
The body of the deceased was found drowned in the stagnant water full of suspended plastic waste.
The cause of death is however unknown.
The Odumase Krobo Police Command has retrieved the body and deposited it at the morgue pending autopsy and investigation.
According to the family of the deceased, he left home Sunday morning with his Television set and Radio switched on only to be found dead a few minutes after.
“Man, who died at Madaam drain left home with his radio and television on this morning, says family. The people of Madaam in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal woke up this morning in a state of mix feeling as a man, believed to be in his late 50s was found dead in a gutter. Though residents in Madaam claimed no knowledge of his identity, the late Kwame’s family followed up from Nuaso Ngmertey upon hearing the news”
Several dead bodies have been retrieved from the streets this year in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.
