Member of Parliament for Yilo Krobo in the Eastern region Albert Nyakotey in partnership with Pencils of Promise, an NGO has cut sod for the construction of a six-unit classroom block for Klo-Agogo Anglican Primary School.
Pencils of Promise are a U.S based Non-Governmental Organization, founded in 2008, with a mission to support and create enabling educational opportunities in the developing world.
The Klo-Agogo Anglican School block constructed with mud over (100) years ago has deteriorated and become a death trap.
The school closes anytime it is about to rain due to fear of the building collapsing on them. Academic work is therefore disrupted during the rainy season.

The MP is supporting the project with about 600 cubic meters of sand, concrete blocks, about 140 cubic meters of granite chipping among other building materials.
He admonished the community to support the project with communal labor to see to the full execution of the Project on time.
He announced his willingness to assist with the Construction of some Eight (8) Basic Schools in the Municipality within the shortest possible time and was happy to have started with the Klo-Agogo Anglican Six-Unit Classroom block particularly, because of its death threatening status.
He added that he will soon announce a Scholarship scheme for Tertiary students as well as Material support for SHS students within his Constituency.
The project manager for Pencils of Promise, Mr. Anthony Quashigah said the project will be completed with alacrity
The latest school project brings to three (3), the number of School building block projects the MP has touched since becoming MP some 6 months ago.
