Member of Parliament for Yilo Krobo, Albert Nyakotey in partnership with Pencils of Promise an NGO, has commissioned some infrastructure projects for the Klo Agogo Anglican school in the Eastern Region.
The projects includes; 6-unit classroom block with an office, 4-unit toilet facility, a 4-unit urinal as well as a polytank to help store water.
Ina press remarks, the MP, Hon. Albert Nyarkotey emphasised on his commitment to help deal with the many challenges facing his constituents.
He revealed that poor road networks, health provision and education were the major pressing issues he encountered when he assumed the position as the MP for the area.
He narrated how he saw pupils and teachers stranded when he visited the school after a heavy downpour and pledged to help deal with the situation.
“I came to the school sometime ago and I saw how pupils and teachers were suffering to cope with cleaning the classroom after a rainfall. So I said to myself I needed to do something about it?” the MP stated.
Meanwhile, CEO of Pencils of Promise Ms Kailee Scales, in her short presentation retreated her outfit commitment to the development of children with regard to their education.
She indicated the need to invest in the education of the children in order to have hope for the future in terms of their well being.
She commended the MP, the Education Directorate and residents of Klo Agogo for their support in making the progress a success.
