Names of many security personnel are still missing in the special voting exercise underway in the Eastern Region.
At least 12 officers had their names missing as of 10:00am. The number is expected to increase.
The Electoral Commission is blaming the situation on failure by the affected persons to transfer their votes to the designated polling stations.
But the acting Regional Police PRO says the affected officers will be redeployed closer to the polling stations where they registered to enable them to exercise their franchise.
A total of 7,893 eligible voters are expected to take part in the special voting exercise across 33 constituencies in the Eastern Region.
Akyemansa District has the lowest voter population of 50 voters while New Juaben South has the highest special voter population of 837.
