The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in collaboration with Akuapem South has organized an inter-house quiz competition in Akuapem South municipality of the Eastern region.
The primary aim of the quiz competition was to advance the knowledge of the pupils on the 1992 constitution in every term of the school academic calendar in the municipality.
It was to briefly test the pupils’ level of comprehension regarding the 1992 constitution and to spread more insights into their progress and any existing knowledge gaps.
Mr Alex Owusu Akyew, the Akuapem South Municipal Director of the National Commission for Civic Education said that the quiz will help build general knowledge and boost the confidence of the pupils.
He indicated that the quiz competition will vast the knowledge of the students on the 1992 constitution.
The Assembly Member of the Aburi East Electoral Area also urged the students to take their education seriously to arrive in higher rank in the next competition.
He donated exercise books and copies of the 1992 constitution to the pupils after the exercise to spark freshness in them.
The Quizmaster, Mr Dennis Opoku Addai who took the pupils through the exercise pleaded with them to take their studies seriously to help improve their standard of education.
The Headteacher, Mavis Dargie on her part extoled stakeholders, teachers, parents and the pupils for participating and making the program remarkable.
The program took place at Aburi Wesley Methodist Primary School with high profiled dignitaries. It was recommended in every quarter for other schools to emulate and equip the students.
