Parliamentary Candidates for the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Eastern Region are in dire need of resources and logistics hence struggling to effectively campaign.
Out of the 33 Constituencies in Eastern Region, only three are occupied by NDC Members of Parliamentary. Therefore many of the Parliamentary Candidates in “orphan” constituencies are not well resourced hence depend on external support from within the party to the campaign but with barely some two months to the Presidential and Parliamentary elections, this support is not forthcoming.
Some of the candidates are struggling to print branded T-shirts, Posters, organize mini-campaign rallies, and hit the ground running to match ” boot for boot” their political opponents the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) who are all over the region embarking on a vigorous campaign.
The former Minister of Communication, Dr. Omane Boamah, has therefore intervened to partly support the struggling Parliamentary Candidates by distributing quantities of posters and branded T-Shirts to several constituencies in the Eastern Region.
The items were delivered over the weekend by Mark Oliver Kevor former Eastern Regional Secretary who is a Member of the Regional Campaign Team.
“Over the weekend I, on behalf of Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, delivered substantial quantities of posters and PC branded T-shirts to several Constituencies in the Eastern Region.
This forms part of his continuous support to the region, especially to vulnerable Constituencies.
We are in our last days and our PCs are in dire need of resources and logistics to prosecute meaningful campaigns.
Everybody is therefore encouraged to put in his/her widow’s mite until we count the last ballot that secures our victory on the 7th of December.
The Victory of NDC is coming again” Mark Oliver Kevor said.
