The main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced the vetting of its parliamentary aspirants in Suhum of the Eastern region.
The party will begin the vetting of parliamentary aspirants from Tuesday, April 4, 2024.
Seventy-five (75) parliamentary aspirants have filed to contest on the ticket of the NDC in the Eastern region.
The party has put on hold three constituencies in the region which includes Afram Plains South, Ayensuano and Akwatia Constituency.
The Eastern Regional Secretary of the party, Mr Baba Jamal Konneh earlier disclosed that constituencies are on hold to enable the party to handle some internal issues.
Speaking to Nhyiraba Nartey Solomon of Bryt FM, Mr Baba Jamal indicated that the party is coming back to power in 2025 as many candidates have shown interest in the parliamentary race.
