
Portions of the Koforidua-Suhum main road is receiving rehabilitation as a way of cushioning road users who ply that stretch.
Some sections of the road within the New Juaben North municipality have developed severe potholes that make it difficult for drivers who normally use the road on daily basis.

In a short ceremony to fix the deplorable portions of the road, the New Juaben North MCE Samuel Adongo emphasized on the need to ensure facelift of the road, considering the challenges road users go through.
He assured to make good roads a priority of the Assembly so as to ensure most road networks within the municipality is constructed or made accessible to road users.

Hon Samuel Adongo added that he is poised to improve the quality of education, healthcare and sanitation within the municipality and get rid of most challenges the above-mentioned sectors go through.
He again mentioned plans of ensuring the municipality get market centres and lorry station to befit the Assembly status and also ensure increase in revenue mobilization.

Some drivers who could not hide their joy at the rehabilitation of the road commended the MCE and government for responding swiftly to the cry of road users and urged authorities to ensure the project is well executed as expected on time.
Divers complain the poor road network affect their expenses as they periodically have to buy spare parts to replace damaged ones caused by the poor road network.

The Koforidua-Suhum road has was awarded on contract by the eartshwile Akufo-Addo government but the contractor is yet to fully start work, leaving road users no choice than to resort to the poor road available to them.
The rehabilitation by the Assembly is a way to lessen the burden road users go through until the contractor start construction.
