Dr. Benard Okoe Boye witnessed the inaugural ceremony of yet another NHIS District Office in Oyoko in New Juaben North Area in Koforidua.
This marks the fourth new district office commissioned and operationalised within the past 2 months in various parts of the country to provide more access to healthcare.
In attendance were the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Seth Acheampong, the Member of Parliament for the constituency, the NHIA Board Chair, Dr. Ernest Kwarko, Chief Executive Officer, NHIA Dr. Okoe Boye his deputies and other Directors, Chiefs, and other dignitaries.
The Regional Minister who chaired the function praised management of the Scheme for considering to situate a new office in New Juaben North area to serve more people and also reduce pressure at the old office in New Juaben South.
He admonished staff who will be occupying the edifice to be courteous to the public and take good care of the building.
On his part, Dr. Okoe Boye acknowledged the great efforts of his predecessors and promised that indigenes of New Juaben North will be considered as staff to run the office to serve the community.
