The Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben South Hon. Isaac Appaw Gyasi has commissioned two ultramodern kindergarten blocks in two different schools – Trinity Presbyterian Model School and Nana Kwaku Boateng Model “A”School in the Eastern region.
The ultramodern kindergarten blocks are fully furnished .It has two classrooms with an office ,toilet facility,changing room and a storeroom each.
This is to enhance quality preschool education and depopulating congested KG classrooms into sizable and manageable ones in the municipality.
According to the MCE, the project was funded by the district assembly common funds at an estimated cost of about Gh¢400,000.
Addressing a brief ceremony to commission the two new KG blocks , the MCE Hon. Isaac Appaw Gyasi said quality preschool education is critical to the cognitive and excellent academic performance of children since it is the foundation.
He also noted that the objective of constructing new KG blocks in many schools in the municipality is to feed mainstream school to enhance quality and students enrollment.
Hon. Ike Appaw Gyasi admonished the school authority and the users of the new facility to inculcate the habit of maintenance culture to ensure the facility achieves its long term purpose for which it was established.
Ms. Vivian Obuobi-sa Darko and Mrs. Mary Agyekum Headmistress of Trinity Presbyterian Model School and Nana Kwaku Boateng Model “A” school respectively thanked the MCE for the commissioning of the KG blocks for use and further echoed on the important of the facility to teaching and learning in their respective schools.
They promised to make good use of the facility by ensuring that it is well maintained.
