The Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben North has brought a relief to the chiefs and people of Asikasu No.1 as he has cut sod for the construction of a 6-Unit classroom block.
Hon. Samuel Adongo (MCE) together with the Odikro, Dademantse Samuel Tettey Komlon cut the sod at a very short ceremony to begin the construction of the new and a modern 6-Unit classroom block with auxiliary facilities.

The new school building will include 6 classrooms, Headmaster’s office, a storeroom, washrooms for teachers and students and a library.
Hon. Adongo mentioned that, the new school which is his first project will receive all the necessary support and will make sure the construction is completed on time.

He is optimistic that teachers’ bungalows will be added to the project in due course.
He also assured that he will make sure dedicated and committed teachers are posted to the school when completed to teach students.
The Odikro of Asikasu No.1 Dademantse Samuel Tettey Komlon was very happy to have a new basic school in the community, which when completed will be the only basic school in his area.
This is the reason the traditional leader and his people are soo much amused to have the school and have contributed to the project by given out land for the first and morden basic school in Asikasu.

The Dademantse also proposed that the school should be named after the late Dademantse Padi Dawutey.
The contractor, PPMC is expected to complete the project within 5 months.
