Today marks a memorable day in the history of Kwahu sporting activity as the NPP government fulfills its manifesto promise.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of middle Belt Development Authority (MBDA) Hon. Joe Dankwah and the Kwahu West Municipal chief executive Hon. Yaw Owusu Addo today embarked on an inspection on the construction of the Nkawkaw sports stadium to reassure the lovers of sports to hold on faith and look forward to the completion of the first phase of the stadium in twelve months to ahead.
Addressing the media, Hon. Joe Dankwah said the initial plan of rehabilitating the Nkawkaw sports stadium which was under one million per constituency changed to reconstruction which is also cost GH14,250,000 facility comprising all the requirements of FIFA he said that caused the delay in the initial stage.
Hon. Dankwah stated that the facility will bring jobs and boost economic growth. He said those youths with sporting talent will be more beneficiaries of the facility.
The Municipal chief executive Hon. Yaw Owusu Addo used the opportunity to send a word of caution to those who have encroached on the land of the stadium to as early as possible vacate the land before it gets to the point of evacuating them with force.
Some supporters of Okwahu United added their voice by appealing to the government to complete the project as promised and issued two weeks’ automaton to the owners of those unauthorized structures around the stadium to as early as possible remove them before they use force on them.
