The Eastern Regional Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party, Evans Osei Yeboah, claims the Electoral Commission is struggling to declare results in some constituencies due to interference from members of the National Democratic Congress.
According to him, “when the EC sits down and is about to declare then the NDC will come with macho men to scatter the place”.
On Bryt Adekye Mu Nsem with Kwamina Sam Biney, Mr. Yeboah alleged the NDC members are using violence to disrupt the process, forcing the EC to relocate to Koforidua secondary technical school but still they couldn’t proceed with the collation and the declaration on Tuesday.
He has said that, stakeholders will to do it at the same school again, but does not understand why the members of NDC can’t understand the party lost in those constituencies so that the EC can declare in peace.
“We are calling on the president to halt the transition process until the outstanding seats are declared” he told the host.
“I don’t understand why the NDC is doing that because they’ve already declared the president elect” Mr. Yeboah stated.
