The Big Girls Executive club as part of their social corporate responsibility has made donations worth millions of cedis to some communities in the Akuapem Municipality.
The club has been doing this benevolent and philanthropic act over four years and at different places across the country.
Meeting a gathering of Chiefs, Assembly members, Religious leaders and residents of the Oboadaka, Kwame Ntow, Pepawani, Amoyaw, Besease Amanfrom, Kwamekrom, Ottopah Yaw and Opare Kwasi communities on Saturday July 22nd 2023, the club in collaboration with the Akuapem South member of Parliament, Hon. Osei Bonsu Amoah posed some smiles on the faces of the people.
Food items, Drinks, men and women cloths, shoes, bags, learning materials, detergents, sanitary pads, farming equipments such as cutlass among others were donated to support the livelihood of the people.
Speaking to the reporter, Founder and President of Big Girls Executive Club, Nana Asantewaa Krobia disclosed that, the prime aim of the group is to help the deprived in the remote areas in the country and also empower women.
“We are here to put smiles on the faces of the needy. We are all from the villages and by God’s grace we have been successful therefore the need to return back to help our people”, she said.
She also called on other organizations to turn to the needy in the rural areas to support them in education, health and others.
On his part, the member of Parliament for Akuapem South, Hon. O B Amoah who shared the joy of the beneficiaries also expressed his profound gratitude to the Big Girls Executive Club.
Nana Oppong Kwarfo, Odikro of Kwame Ntow on behalf of his people showered blessings on the Big Girls Executive Club for the support given them.
He also used the opportunity to call on their member of Parliament and the government to fix their deplorable roads, build a bungalow for the nurses in the area, subsidize fertilizer and other farming inputs for them.
On Education Nana Oppong Kwarfo requested that, schools in the area gets computers to study to be able to compete with their colleagues in the city.
In response, Hon. O B Amoah gave an assurance of attending to their challenges and promised of supporting them with farm inputs in the coming week.
