One more person has succumbed to the Covid-19 Delta variant in the Eastern region pushing the cumulative deaths related to the virus to 102.
The latest death was recorded on August 18, 2021.
The number of new positive cases recorded in the Region same day was 9 moving the active cases to 207.
Out of the number 8 are in critical condition while 7 are in severe condition.
Additionally, 8 are in the moderate state while 185 are in the mild state.
The cumulative number of confirmed Covid-19 cases for the region as of August 18, 2021, was 5,578
Cumulative Health Workers infected are 1,164(21.0%)
While Cumulative students infected in the region are 771(13.9%)
The new recoveries are 16 while the new discharge done is 1.
But the total new discharges and Recoveries–17 but the Cumulative recoveries and discharge are 5,269
