One person was injured and rushed to a health center for treatment after a fallen tree was crushed onto two houses at Atimpoku in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region during a rainstorm on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
The man was trapped in the room after the incident. It took the efforts of Unit Committee members to rescue him to Atimpoku health center for treatment.
The victim is responding to treatment.
Apart from damages caused to the buildings, other household properties got damaged.
The rainstorm which occurred about 3:00pm also wreaked havoc in many communities in the district. Atimpoku Tusker and Akrade recorded quite massive distractions of buildings according to Omanhene Kofi Keteku, a local Journalist.
