Residents of Koforidua Oyoko have hailed Hon William Amankrah a former NPP New Juabeng North constituency chairman candidate after he commissioned a fully funded bridge at Oyoko Asuogya.
Commuters of Oyoko Asuogya and its environs are now beneficiaries of a bridge over a river to facilitate the movement of persons.
Hon. William Amankrah, former NPP New Juabeng North constituency chairman candidate on Saturday 25th June 2022 commissioned a bridge for the people of Oyoko Asuogya a suburb of Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
Hon. William Amankrah started the bridge during the NPP constituency elections and has been able to complete it despite his failure to win the chairmanship position.
The bridge was fully funded by Hon. Amankrah and it cost him GH 40,000.00. The bridge will connect several communities within the Oyoko area.
An elder among settlers who were extremely happy for the bridge said they have sent several appeals to the leadership of the New Juabeng North Municipal assembly and the current MP to fix the bridge but to no avail.
Present at the commissioning were Krontihene of Oyoko, Nana Amoako Sarpong Kumankuma II, elders of Oyoko palace, and assemblywoman for the area. Also, present were constituency executives and jubilant community members.
Nana Amoako Sarpong Kumankuma II commended Hon. William Amankrah for his support for ameliorating their challenges.
The people of the area also expressed delight when the bridge was opened for them to use.
Hon. William Amankrah assured constituent members of his readiness to support them when the needs arise.
